Welcome to The Gospel Challenge!

moving from me to we discipleship challenge header

This study of the Gospel in the book of Romans is especially designed for new Christians! Over the next 62 days, we will be going into a comprehensive study of the book of Romans, designed to help new Christians really understand the book. We'll discuss the themes and ideas of Romans, and how it applies to the overall theme of the Gospel.

Let's get rolling! Here's today's video, "An Introduction to Romans."

Introduction to Romans Teaching Video

Grab your Bible and your workbook, watch today's video:

Scripture-Based Prayer

Scripture based prayer is a great way to engage the Bible, not just read it. This is designed to model "praying the Scripture" in the book of Romans. If you were to turn the Bible and prayer into a real conversation with God, where:

  • God talked to you through the Bible, and

  • You talked back to God about what He just said...

...what would that be like?

Starting tomorrow, we'll have a prayer video at the end of each teaching video, that will give you a chance to learn how to do that! So, be prepared for that tomorrow!

Scripture of the Day

Each day, I recommend reading the same chapter over and over until we are out of it. I think you'll be blown away by how well you'll know the book by the time the Gospel Challenge concludes. (It takes only 3-7 minutes each day, depending on which chapter.) Most Christians never go this deep in their knowledge of Scripture, and I think you'll be pleased at how it increases your knowledge of God's Word!

This 62-day plan sounds perfect for new believers who want to really grasp the Gospel's foundation. I've been using a similar structured approach in my own small group and found a helpful resource at https://aibestfinder.com
